Position Overview:

Nue Image Beauty Salon & Barber Shop is seeking a talented and passionate Licensed Stylist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hair styling, cutting, and coloring techniques, along with exceptional customer service skills. Key Responsibilities:

• Client Consultation: Conduct thorough consultations with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and desired outcomes for hair services.

• Hair Cutting and Styling: Perform various hair cutting techniques, including but not limited to layering, texturizing, and precision cuts, as well as styling using tools such as blow dryers, curling irons, and straighteners.

• Color Services: Apply hair color, highlights, lowlights, and other color techniques while ensuring the health and integrity of the hair.

• Hair Treatments: Recommend and perform hair treatments, such as deep conditioning, keratin treatments, and scalp treatments, tailored to individual client needs.

• Product Knowledge: Stay informed about the latest hair care products and techniques; provide clients with product recommendations to maintain their styles at home.

• Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and referrals.

• Salon Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized work station, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized and in good working condition.

• Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other stylists and salon staff to create a positive and productive work environment.

• Continuous Education: Participate in ongoing training and education to stay current with industry trends and techniques.

Qualifications:

• Licensure: Valid cosmetology license in the state of TEXAS.

  
  

• Experience: Minimum of 6 Months - 1 Year experience as a stylist in a salon or barbershop setting.

  
  

• Skills: Proficient in a wide range of hair cutting, coloring, and styling techniques.

  
  

• Customer Service: Exceptional interpersonal skills with a focus on client satisfaction.

  
  

• Time Management: Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple clients in a fast-paced environment.

  
  

• Team Player: Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work well with others.

  
  

Work Environment:

The Licensed Stylist will work in a vibrant salon atmosphere that encourages creativity and professional growth. The position requires standing for extended periods, as well as the ability to lift and move salon equipment as necessary.

Compensation:

We offer a competitive salary structure, including commission on services and retail products sold, along with opportunities for bonuses based on performance.*

Applicants should be aware that there are different opportunities available. As a commission-based stylist, you can earn a 60% commission on each service you provide. Alternatively, you can choose to be a booth renter, which allows you to keep 100% of your earnings from each service. However, please note that booth renters are required to pay a weekly Booth Rental fee, which must be settled every Friday.
